How Can I Keep from Singing?

Under the direction of our new Artistic Director and Conductor, Dr. Alyssa J. Cossey, we kick off our 44th Season with a concert that captures that very spirit. How Can I Keep From Singing truly is a celebration of the power of music, community, and the shared joy of singing. The repertoire includes music by great American composers, including Gwyneth Walker, Marques Garrett, and Rollo Dilworth, and popular tunes like Carly Simon’s “Let the River Run” and Bill Withers’ “Lovely Day.” In a world that too often feels divided and uncertain, this uplifting program reminds us that choosing joy—and raising our voices together—is itself a powerful act of hope and resilience.
